These terms cover your use of the getamap mobile app. By using getamap you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Using getamap
You need an account, and you must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you are responsible for activity on your account.
Walk safely
getamap shows walking routes and map directions. Pay attention to your surroundings, traffic and local conditions rather than to your phone. Routes are suggestions, not instructions, and may be inaccurate, blocked or unsafe. Use your own judgement, and follow all local laws and posted signs.
Accuracy
Place information — opening hours, locations, descriptions — comes from third-party sources and our own curation, and may be out of date or wrong. Check anything that matters before relying on it, especially opening hours and accessibility.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add: your profile, photo, bio and saved items. By adding it, you grant us permission to store and display it as needed to run the app, including showing your profile to friends and on leaderboards.
Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not upload photos of other people without their agreement.
Fair use
Do not:
- falsify step counts, locations or achievements, or otherwise manipulate leaderboards
- scrape, bulk-download or resell the place and route data
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service
- impersonate anyone, or harass other users
We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things, including removing leaderboard entries we believe to be falsified.
Availability
getamap is provided as-is. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any particular feature will continue to exist. We may change or discontinue features.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including anything that happens while you are travelling or walking a route. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are material we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use getamap after that means you accept the revised terms.
